Your consultation will include an examination of everything from your teeth, gums and soft tissues to the shape and condition of your bite. Generally, we want to see how your whole mouth looks and functions. Before we plan your treatment we want to know everything about the health and aesthetic of your smile, and most importantly, what you want to achieve so we can help you get there.
Frequently Asked Questions
Your child’s first tooth typically appears around 6 months. We recommend booking their first visit by age 1, or within 6 months of that first tooth erupting. And if you think something’s off? Don’t wait. It’s never too early or too late to start.
Baby teeth play a big role! They help your child chew, speak clearly, and hold space for their adult teeth. When they’re healthy, your child can eat confidently, smile freely, and avoid unnecessary discomfort. Tooth pain (even minor) can affect how kids eat, talk, and even how they feel about themselves.
We take our time to make it a positive experience. The first appointment usually takes about an hour, but it really depends on how your child is feeling. Some kids are eager and curious, others may need a little extra patience (we’re here for both!).
Just like adults, kids should come in every 6 months for a checkup and cleaning. If your child is experiencing discomfort, sensitivity, or shows signs of jaw pain, don’t wait for the next scheduled visit, bring them in sooner.
Cavities happen when bacteria and plaque weaken the enamel and create little holes in the tooth. They’re more common with diets high in sugar or acid, but some kids are just more prone than others. The good news? With regular cleanings, good brushing habits, and smart eating, we can keep cavities away.
Healthy gums are the foundation of a healthy mouth. Inflammation, redness, or bleeding gums can be early warning signs of bigger problems. We pay close attention to gum health at every visit and help kids (and parents) learn how to care for them properly at home.
Absolutely! We’re all about making life easier. We can schedule your family’s appointments back-to-back, or even side-by-side, so everyone can be seen in one trip. Just give us a call and we’ll coordinate everything for you.
